DAN George is looking forward to a clash of two in-form sides when Chinnor host Darlington Mowden Park in National League 1 tomorrow.

The Thame-based outfit are unbeaten in their last six matches – a club record in the third tier of English rugby – and searching for a fourth straight home win.

Fourth-placed Chinnor are only above Mowden in the table by virtue of fewer losses, while a victory could see either team jump into the top three.

The visitors have scored 22 tries and 174 points in their last five matches and head coach George is expecting a tough test at Kingsey Road.

He said: “Darlington have played some really good stuff over recent weeks – they’ve probably played the best rugby of the other teams we’ve seen.

“They’re scoring a lot of tries, putting a lot of teams to the sword.”

Centre Chris Elder returns for Chinnor after helping representative side The Ramblin Jesters reach the men’s international invitation final at the Dubai 7s last weekend.

Head coach Luke Allen makes three changes to his Henley Hawks side for their trip to Leicester Lions in National 2 South.

George Griffiths starts at centre and captain Sam Lunnon and Rory Mason join the forwards.

In South West 1 East, Sheldon Graddon, Adam Broadbent and Matt White are included in the Oxford Harlequins line-up for their home game against Old Centralians.

Lewis Collins, Ollie Toner and Jake Fisk all come in as table-toppers Witney host second-placed Aylesbury in Southern Counties North.

Meanwhile, Grove name an unchanged team for the visit of Combe Down in Southern Counties South.
