CHINNOR are hoping to head into the festive break on a high when they make the trip to Bedfordshire to face fourth-placed Ampthill tomorrow.

The Thame-based side sit sixth in National League 1 and approach their final game of the calendar year full of confidence.

Having already beaten Ampthill this season, Chinnor are eyeing their first double in the third tier of English rugby.

And they could also close the gap on the leaders, which stands at nine points, as Old Elthamians and Blackheath meet in a top-of-the- table clash.

Henley Hawks are bidding to make it four straight wins when they travel to Barnes.

Luke Allen’s side have only lost once in their last 11 games and are third in National League 2 South.

Hawks make one change from last weekend’s victory over Old Albanians, with George Primett replacing Zak Clarke in the front row.
