Kyle Evans edged out British team-mate Kye Whyte to take the men’s BMX gold medal at the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.
Evans finished in 34.715 seconds, 0.657 seconds ahead of Whyte.
World champion Sylvain Andre of France, below par after a crash in training, had to settle for third place in 35.458.
Dutchman Niek Kimmann, the 2015 world champion, was a surprise absentee from the final line-up having failed to make it past the semi-finals.
