OXFORDSHIRE suffered a second consecutive defeat in the NCCA Trophy.

After a loss at Cumbria in their Group One opener, Oxon were beaten at the hands of Northumberland, by two wickets in a rain-affected match at Banbury.

The visitors stuttered in pursuit of a target of 233 but were ahead of the required DLS score of 211 when rain halted play of a ball in the 44th over, with Northumberland on 219 for eight.
