ANDY Whing called on Banbury United to be more ruthless as they aim to get back on track.
The Puritans suffered their first Pitching In Southern League Premier Central defeat of the season on Saturday, losing 2-1 at St Ives Town.
Banbury, who are third, host 12th-placed Biggleswade Town tonight.
Puritans boss Whing said: “We weren’t quite at the races, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have won the game.
“In those crucial moments we need to be more clinical.
“No-one likes to get beat, but hopefully that will sharpen our focus.”
Veteran defender Kelvin Langmead could miss out after sustaining a knee injury at St Ives.
Wantage Town visit Swindon Supermarine in the third round of the Southern League Challenge Cup.
