JOE Iaciofano made it three goals for pre-season as he set Oxford City on their way to a 4-0 win at Haringey Borough.

The striker scored twice before half-time against the Isthmian League Premier Division outfit, with Zac McEachran and a trialist on target after the break.

Following defeats to Oxford United and Alvechurch the previous weekend, David Oldfield’s squad showed several changes.

Ben Dudzinski, Zico Asare and Nana Owusu all returned to the starting line-up, while Charlie Rowan, another summer signing, was named on the bench.

City started brightly and took just nine minutes to go in front.

McEachran linked up with a trialist before picking out Iaciofano, who had an easy finish from close range.

It was 2-0 midway through the half as the summer recruit again showed a striker’s instinct, firing home from Josh Ashby’s corner.

At this point, the scoreline was a reversal of City’s 4-2 Buildbase FA Trophy fourth round win over Haringey in January and the hosts looked to mount a similar comeback.

The visitors needed Dudzinksi to make an important save just after the half-hour mark, while AJ George’s vital interception preserved the clean sheet.

It proved crucial, as McEachran beat two defenders before finding the bottom corner seven minutes after the break to kill the game.

Rowan came on and almost scored a header, while George cleared off the line with 20 minutes left.

City had the final word, though, as a trialist made it four late on.
