OXFORD City are 12 games unbeaten after recording a 4-1 victory over Chelmsford City.

On a cold afternoon at the Velocity Stadium, James Roberts and Harvey Bradbury both claimed a double, as they continued with their scintillating form in front of goal.

After a slow start to the game, the Hoops upped the gears in the 12th minute with a smooth passing move that saw Josh Ashby whip in a cross to meet Aaron Drewe at the back post.

The right back’s header was saved but the rebound found Roberts who fired into the bottom left corner.

Chelmsford immediately jumped into life and Ben Dudzinski was forced to make two great saves in quick succession.

The Clarets continued to stay on the front foot and a corner from the right found the head of Anthony Church, who crashed his header against the bar.

In the 28th minute, Ashby won the ball back in midfield with a strong challenge, and a devastating counter saw Alfie Potter cross the ball to Bradbury, who calmly fired home to double the lead.

Two quickly became three as moments later, Drewe played Potter down the right and got the same result as the number 16 again found a teammate in the box.

This time it was Roberts who finished to make it 3-0 to the Hoops.

After a tight start to the second half, Chelmsford played themselves into trouble as a terrible back pass from Church went straight to Bradbury who, one-on-one with the keeper, made no mistake and struck a powerful effort into the bottom left corner.

Jake Cass prodded in an injury time consolation.
