BURTON Albion have reappointed Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as manager on the eve of their clash with Oxford United.

The former Leeds United and Chelsea forward will watch tomorrow's Sky Bet League One game from the stands, with coaches Nick Fenton and Chris Beardsley in caretaker charge.

It will be the Dutchman's second stint at the Brewers, after he guided them to the Sky Bet League Two title in 2014/15 and left to join QPR in December 2015 with Burton top of the third tier.

Ex-Stevenage player and manager Dino Maamria, who was last head coach at Oldham Athletic, will be his assistant.

Burton sacked Jake Buxton after Tuesday's 4-3 home defeat to fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic.
