MATTY Taylor will not face an FA charge after an incident where he appeared to grab Portsmouth’s Ronan Curtis in a sensitive area.
The Oxford United striker was one of several players involved in a fracas at the end of his side’s 1-1 draw at Fratton Park last Tuesday.
A picture emerged of a clash between Curtis and Taylor that shows the U’s man holding his opponent’s shorts.
There were fears United’s No 9 would face an FA charge, particularly after Preston North End defender Darnell Fisher last week received a three-game suspension for grabbing the genitals of Sheffield Wednesday’s Callum Paterson.

But the FA contacted United for their observations and were satisfied Taylor had done nothing wrong.
U’s head coach Karl Robinson said: “They were happy with our statement and they were content that our story backed up the video footage.
“A picture can sometimes really make things look an awful lot worse than they actually are.
“Matty’s gone to grab him as he’s turned round and grabbed just above the groin area.”
