The U’s were unhappy they were not informed of a positive test within the visitors’ ranks until after they arrived at the Kassam Stadium, leaving several of the squad uncomfortable about playing.

United boss Karl Robinson called once more for mandatory testing following the affair, with the first team expecting the results from swabs taken yesterday before tonight’s game against Bristol Rovers.

And Henry, one of the senior figures in the U’s squad, believes changes to testing are needed for players' peace of mind.

He said: “We’re being asked to perform to the best we can and we want to be in the right mental space for that.

“Doing as much as possible in making sure we’re following the protocols is key to this.

“Every little helps and having that proper testing formula for us moving forward is going to be key.

“How they do it I don’t know, but there needs to be something.”
