FORMER champion trainer Paul Cole and his son, Oliver, enjoyed a decent start at Kempton Park on their return to racing.
Rossa Ryan piloted Jazz Party, a 20-1 shot, to second, four lengths behind Frankie Dettori aboard Galsworthy in the Unibet Casino Deposit 10 Get 40 Bonus Maiden Stakes.
It followed a third place for the Whatcombe stables, near Wantage, when David Egan steered Mercenary Rose (6-1) in the Unibet Handicap.
The Coles, who are now competing under a joint licence, are back at the Sunbury track today with Highland Chief in the Classic Trial Stakes.
Heather Main’s Kingston Lisle yard and Wantage’s Henry Candy also have runners at the meeting.
