OXFORD United’s selection options to face Southend United have increased compared to midweek.

Anthony Forde and Nathan Holland have recovered from hamstring niggles, while Mark Sykes has shrugged off his illness.

It gives boss Karl Robinson decisions to make in attacking areas – and he could go back to the XI which started the 1-0 win at Ipswich Town a week ago.

But the game comes too soon for Ben Woodburn, who is due back from Liverpool next week after recovering from a broken foot.

Robinson said: “Woody will be back in for Shrewsbury.”

Southend have several players ruled out, including their only senior goalkeeper Mark Oxley (thigh).

It has seen Shrimpers boss Sol Campbell secure Brentford teenager Patrik Gunnarsson on an emergency seven-day loan.
