ETHAN Rose went down 21-17, 21-18 to home player Andraz Krapez in the Slovak Open qualifying draw.

The 17-year-old, from Oakley, was playing at the senior event a week after going down 21-13, 22-20 to Sulistio Tegar in the last 16 at the Under 19 Italian International Junior Challenger.

Street also claimed girls’ doubles gold and girls’ singles silver at the Nottinghamshire Under 17 competition, before taking girls’ doubles silver at the Hampshire Under 17 event.

Eynsham’s Maddy Cook netted her second women’s singles senior title of 2020 at the Hampshire Tier 4 event.

Anthony Peverell won boys’ singles gold at the Hampshire Under 15 tournament, with teammate Jeevika Tilakraj taking girls’ doubles bronze.

Jamie Wakefield’s run of 23 unbeaten singles matches ended when he lost in the last four of the Hampshire Under 13 event, where he won bronze.

The youngster added silvers in the boys’ and mixed doubles.

Sophie Wang took girls’ doubles silver at the Gloucestershire Under 11 competition.
