STONESFIELD closed the gap on leaders Carterton to two points as they edged out Carterton Rangers 2-1 in the only Witney & District FA Premier Division game to take place on Saturday. Raffy Rice and Jordan Newman scored Stonesfield’s goals, with Ben Pearce on the mark for Rangers. Bletchingdon hammered visitors Witney Royals Res 7-1 in the second leg of their Supplementary Cup second round tie, going through 14-3 on aggregate. Mason Connelly and Michael Trafford both netted doubles, with Jamie Hudson, Richard Wells and Aaron Johnson also on target. Jake Harding bagged a consolation for Royals. In the first leg ties, Kingham All Blacks edged out hosts Chipping Norton Town 2-1. Dan Davies scored twice for Kingham, with Darren Bridge replying. FC Ascott Rangers cruised to a 5-0 win at rivals FC Ascott, with goals from Aaron Court, Marshall Balmer, Chris Brooksbank, Travis Cozier and Brendon Campbell. Matt Chadwick struck a hat-trick as Chadlington thrashed Carterton Town B 8-2 in the second round first leg of the Watts Junior Cup. Alfie Peachey (2), Lee Woodward, Ewan Thomas and Dan Cleevely were also on target, with Dave Wanless grabbing both Carterton goals. Enstone hammered Hailey Res 7-0 as Andy McCabe and Nathan Bott bagged braces, with Dan Bott, Kieran Watts and Dan Newman also scoring.
