OXFORD City Stars secured a 9-6 home victory over Cardiff Fire to bounce back from defeat 24 hours earlier.
Simon Anderson’s side triumphed to go sixth in South Division 1 of the English National League on Sunday after losing 7-2 at Raiders the day before.
Joshua Oliver and Olly Shone put Stars 2-0 up after five minutes, but two Cardiff strikes levelled the scores.
Shone and Dax Hedges gave the hosts a 4-2 lead at the end of the first period, with Matthew Lawday increasing the gap after the break.
But the visitors struck twice at the end of the second period and made it 5-5 shortly after the break.
Stars regained the momentum with two Jake Williams goals, before quickfire strikes from Mike Whillock and Joe Edwards sealed the win.
Cardiff netted a consolation in the final moments, but it was too little, too late.
Edwards and Hedges were also on target in the defeat to Raiders.
