OXFORD United staged a thrilling comeback from 3-1 down to win 4-3 at home to Yeovil Town in the FA Women’s National League.

Gemma Sims opened the scoring in the Southern Premier Division clash, but the visitors hit back to take charge.

Midway through the second half Emily Allen headed in Daisy McLachlan’s delivery to spark a comeback.

Georgia Timms levelled after good work from Ellie Searle, before Kayleigh Hines headed home.

“Relief is the first emotion,” said match-winner Hines.

“It seems that we make it difficult for ourselves and we have to suffer a bit before we get a reaction.”

It was the second time in as many weeks United had played out a 4-3, although they had been on the receiving end in extra time against Plymouth Argyle in their previous outing.
