OXFORD United are hopeful at least two of the players on their injury list will be passed fit for this weekend.

Josh Ruffels became the eighth first-team member to join the group in the treatment room when he suffered a dead leg in last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Portsmouth.

But United are optimistic the left back will have recovered in time to face Hayes & Yeading United in the Emirates FA Cup first round tie this Sunday.

Head coach Karl Robinson also has high hopes for Chris Cadden, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring strain, while Rob Hall (ankle) may also be cleared.

He said: "Cadds is training today or tomorrow, Ruffs thinks he will be OK as well.

"Hally should be fit. He’s got an assessment today on changes of direction and contact stuff.

"We’ll know more about him by the end of today."

Cameron Brannagan is due to go for a second scan on his jarred knee shortly.

It should clear up the detail of the midfielder's injury, after his first scan obscured by swelling.

But it is not thought to be serious, with Brannagan able to do some light training on an exercise bike already.
