OXFORD United's under 23 side paid for a nightmare start as they lost 4-0 at Huddersfield Town in the Premier League Cup.
Scott High and Aaron Rowe put the home side 2-0 up inside eight minutes at the John Smith's Stadium.
United recovered to make the game more of an even contest and substitute Jack Stevens had the ball in the net on 72 minutes, but the referee had already blown for a foul.

Huddersfield made the game safe five minutes from time, when Rowe grabbed his second of the night, before Josh Koroma struck in stoppage time.
Defeat saw the U's miss out on the group stage, where Huddersfield will now join play home and away matches with Liverpool, Sunderland and Wigan Athletic.
Oxford Utd: Harris, Sade (Stevens HT), Elechi, Allardyce, Berkoe, McCreadie, Zamouri (Chambers-Parillon HT), Heap, Lopes (Goodrham 85), Lofthouse, James
