OXFORD United's late comeback came via a brace of own goals from Coventry City defender Fankaty Dabo.
The former Chelsea trainee turned in Chris Cadden's 85th-minute cross to make it 2-2 at the Kassam Stadium.
It completed a comeback from two goals down, but United looked to have thrown away a point when Callum O'Hare restored City's lead in stoppage-time.

There was still time for more drama, though, with Tariqe Fosu's cross ending up in the back of the net in the 94th minute.
Elliott Moore was credited with the goal, but the centre back admitted he did not get a touch.
He said: "I can't claim it because on the video it would say otherwise. I was there just in case.
“I'll say I put him under pressure, because I was there. Hopefully I can take some credit for it.
"It was a great ball from T (Fosu), the defender had to do something and luckily for us he put it in the back of the net.
"I don’t care whether I get the goal or not, I’m not bothered.
"The most important thing is we got something out of the game.
"We wanted three points, but to come back from 2-0 down and get a result is always great for motivation and momentum."
