TSUN Dai has left Oxford United on loan to join Utrecht in the Netherlands.
The 19-year-old was a deadline day signing from Bury last August, but has not played a senior game.
He has been included in the matchday squad once, for the Carabao Cup tie at Newport County in August.
U's head coach Karl Robinson believes a move to Utrecht's B team, who are second bottom in the Netherlands' second tier, will benefit the midfielder more than a move to non-league in England.
He said: "It’s a good loan for him, a different challenge.
"I think it suits his physique, trying to get him into non-league football wasn’t overly going to suit his talent.
"He’s a very gifted individual and we felt a loan to Utrecht’s second team wasn’t a bad one.
"He will certainly learn a different way of playing and I think it will suit his abilities."
The loan is subject to international clearance.
