OXFORD City have been given a big incentive to win tonight's FA Cup replay.

Tranmere Rovers, from Sky Bet League Two, will host the winners, while Oxford United will host Forest Green Rovers.

The U's, who fell at the first hurdle to Port Vale last season, met the Gloucestershire side in the second round of the 2015/16 season, winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kemar Roofe.

Before City can think about a trip to Prenton Park they have to negotiate their replay after the sides drew 1-1 in Saturday's original tie in Hertfordshire.

Mark Jones's side enjoyed their best run in the competition last season, beating Colchester United 1-0 in the first round.

Their run ended in the next game at Notts County, going down 3-2 in a televised clash.

He said: “It’s a good draw, but we have a lot of work to do to get there.

“Hopefully we get a decent gate tonight and make home advantage count.

“It’s a big game for us, the £25,000 prize money is substantial for a club like ours.

“The players know the importance of the game and it would be nice if they could experience another Football League ground.”

The ties are scheduled to be played over the weekend of November 9-12, with the winners receiving £36,000 in prize money.
