PARTS of Witney have been plunged into darkness this evening after a power cut.
A Southern Electric spokesman said the fault was reported at about 6.05pm and estimated that 1,100 homes and businesses were hit by the blackout.
Engineers are now on their way to the substation to investigate the cause of the problem.
