NETMINDER Ross Miller has re-signed for the Oxford City Stars 2021/22 campaign.

The Welshman, who picked up three titles at the club’s last end of season awards, is regarded as a key signing.

His performances between the pipes for the Stars attracted interest from other clubs, but Miller had no hesitation in re-signing for the Stars.

He said: “I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to stay at the Stars.

“My first season at Oxford was one of my best and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

“I’m looking forward to getting back and seeing what the league has to offer this season.”

Head coach Dean Birrell said: “Ross comes highly recommended by everyone at the club, which speaks volumes.

“He is a hard worker, talented and is a good character.

“We are very pleased to have secured him for the season.

“I know other clubs were interested in Ross, so it speaks volumes for the club that he did not hesitate to re-sign.

“We are looking forward to the season after such a long gap in play and are working hard on building a competitive squad.

“We are looking to combine experience with young, talented and ambitious players.

“This is a club where young players will be given an opportunity to develop and become part of the Stars.”

Earlier this month, the club confirmed its intention to compete in the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) Division One South next season.
