Thames Valley Police have refused to reveal any further information after a woman’s body was found in an Oxford park.
Police raced to Headington’s Shotover Country Park early on Thursday morning before later announcing that a woman had been found dead at the site.
The 28-year-old was found at around 6:45am with police announcing it as an “unexplained death” but not clarifying any details.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The Oxford Mail has approached Thames Valley Police for further information but the force refused to comment.
Police remained at the scene on Friday where three cordons were in place, taping off an area of woods from the public.
Flowers had also been laid in tribute to the deceased woman while a police van and several cars were present.
The force announced on Thursday evening that the circumstances of the woman’s death were being investigated.

Senior investigating officer, detective chief inspector Wojciech Spyt added: “Firstly, my condolences go to the woman’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
“We are investigating the circumstances of her death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
“The park itself is closed to the public while we manage the scene, which is likely to remain in place for some time.
“I’d ask the public to please avoid the area while our enquiries are ongoing.
“There is no threat to the wider public but please speak to a uniformed officer if you are worried or concerned.”
