Around 50 demonstrators have rallied against rising visa income thresholds.
The demonstrators, including trade unionists and councillors, marched from Manzil Way in Oxford to a rally in Bonn Square.
They heard from local workers who expressed their fears about how the increased income requirements for visas will impact their lives.
The threshold will rise from £18,600 for a family visa to £29,000 in spring, and to £38,700 by early 2025.
The increase is above the average UK working wage, which would prevent many couples from being able to live together in the UK.
National general secretary of the Prospect Union, Mike Clancy, urged the government to scrap the new threshold.
Toby James from Prospect UK Atomic Energy Authority branch said: "This shows that the people of Oxford don't stand for this policy."
