Footballer Scott van der Sluis has rocked the Love Island villa after becoming the latest bombshell.

The ITV show sees a group of men and women join a villa and complete in suggestive tasks while trying and find true love.

The Welshman and professional goalkeeper left everyone shocked when he was allowed to date the winner of the She’s A Keeper challenge.

The girls were told they were going to be donning a brand new strip before joining Love Island FC in the hopes of being crowned the "sexiest keeper."

It turned out that winning the challenge wasn’t all about the glory. The ‘sexiest keeper’ was Jess who received a text with news of some off-pitch action.

It said: “As the boys voted you the winner of today’s challenge you will go on a date tonight with a real footballer, Scott. #BeautyAndTheBaller #WomanOfTheMatch.”

Scott is a professional footballer from Connah's Quay in North Wales who plays for Irish side Shelbourne FC.

It was reported by the BBC that he left the League of Ireland side to take part in the show and has only made cup appearances since joining last year.

He also revealed: "I was the youngest goalkeeper to ever play with the Welsh national team! I also got a call when I was 16 and playing at Swansea from the Welsh goalkeeper coach inviting me to train with the first team.

"I got to sit and have dinner with Aaron Ramsey and the Welsh football team! I was in awe, when the year before they got to the Euro finals, they were my idols."

Scott is 22 years old and has since revealed what he will bring to the villa.

Speaking with ITV, he said he would bring "energy. I’ll bring a bit of banter, be cheeky, and I’m a flirt! very, very strong personality so if I see anything I don’t agree with, there’ll definitely be fireworks!"

He also revealed his favourite moment from the show, saying: "When Chris Hughes asked ‘Does anyone want me to rap a little bit to lift the mood’ 

"Then Wes, Jack and Josh in Love Island Unseen Bits they all put on Yorkshire accents doing the baby challenge. The bromance!"
