An Oxfordshire woman is competing to make a pudding fit for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in a new BBC show.
Recipes by five amateur bakers have been selected from nearly 5,000 entries across the UK to honour the Queen’s 70 years on the throne in a BBC One programme presented by Kirsty Young.
Kathryn, a 29-year-old composer and oboist who lives in Oxfordshire, is among the lucky few chosen to compete.

She has chosen a pudding that commemorates her grandmother, an NHS nurse who worked through the pandemic and died in April 2020 aged 84.
It is a passion fruit and thyme frangipane tart which is a variation of her grandma's favourite cake, but also a “light summery pudding” fit for a queen.
Kathryn describes herself as a “‘chuck everything in’ kind of cook”.
Among the five finalists are Shabnam, from north London, retired sales manager Susan, 65, from Argyll and Bute in Scotland, Sam, a 32-year-old lawyer from Warwickshire, and copywriter Jemma, 31, from Southport.

The Duchess of Cornwall and Dame Mary Berry will announce the winner during a special BBC One programme titled The Queen’s Jubilee Pudding: 70 Years In The Baking.
The competition was launched by royal grocer Fortnum & Mason in partnership with The Big Lunch, an Eden Project initiative, in January.
The show airs on BBC One at 8pm on May 12.
