Senior aircraftman Chloe Richardson was the first female finisher at the Great Bristol Half Marathon last weekend.
SAC Richardson, a member of 30 Squadron based at RAF Brize Norton was representing the RAF Benevolent Fund and had a winning time of 78 minutes.
Chloe said: “I was over the moon to win the Bristol half on Sunday. I’ve had a really tough year and thought I wouldn’t be able to compete competitively again this time last year so to just be lining up at races again is amazing.
"I also love that I can compete well again while also raising money and representing a great cause such as the RAF Benevolent Fund”.
Chloe is a runner for the RAF Athletics team and due to represent the RAF in the London Marathon in two weeks.
This will be the inter-service marathon championships and also an opportunity to raise more money for BEAT charity.
