Police have re-released an image of an individual officers would like to speak to in connection with an investigation into an unexplained death in Oxford.

On Monday July 26 at around midnight, officers were called to a report of a body in the River Cherwell, near Parsons Pleasure Bathing Place.

The body of a man in his thirties was recovered and has been identified. His next of kin have been informed.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Dan Hayward, said: “The man’s death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, however as part of our investigation we are trying to establish the circumstances around his death.

“Therefore, we are re-releasing the image of this individual as we believe that they may have information that could help our investigation.

“If the person in this image is you, or you think you may know who it is, please get in touch by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210332803.

“I’d also appeal to anyone who has any information they think may be useful to please get in touch using the methods above.”
