THE MOST expensive places to buy a house in Oxfordshire can now be revealed.
House buying website Zoopla has compiled a list of the 10 most pricey places to live in the county based on the highest average price paid for properties.
According to their research, the average price paid for a house in the county is £432,688 (averaged from 3,502 sales over the last 12 months).
The current average value for a house in Oxfordshire is estimated by Zoopla as £441,792.
Over the last five years, the value of homes has increased by an average of £58,803 - a whopping 15 per cent.
Here are the 10 places in Oxfordshire and how much buyers paid (on average) for a property:
- Burford - £1,070,062
- Henley-on-Thames - £806,227
- Watlington - £693,333
- Oxford - £554,342
- Thame - £517,784
- Woodstock - £493,039
- Chipping Norton - £479,332
- Chinnor - £437,905
- Wallingford - £426,384
- Bampton - £418,953
Also reaching top spots was Abingdon with the average price paid for a house at £417,286 followed by Witney (£377,996), Bicester (£369,485), Wantage (£360,723), and then Kidlington (£349,482).
