A MAN was slashed in the hand with a knife in an Oxfordshire high street.
The public order incident happened at around 11.10am on Monday when the victim, a man in his twenties, left Robert Dyas store on the High Street in Banbury.

He was approached by two men and he ran in the opposite direction, but tripped over.
One of the men chased him and while the victim was on the floor, he slashed his hand with a knife.
The two men were then confronted by another man who had a knife. They chased this man into the Tesco Express store and then assaulted him.
The victim needed hospital treatment for the wound he sustained to his hand but has since been discharged.
A 22-year-old man and a 55-year-old man, both from Banbury, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have been released on police bail.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.
Investigating officer, PC Tony Francis, based at Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information about what happened, to please get in touch.
“I believe there were a number of people in the Tesco store at the time of this incident who would have seen what happened and I would ask them to please make contact with us as you may have important information relating to our investigation.
