TWO local organisations are calling on people to share their experience of shielding throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Banbury-based social enterprise Making Families Count, and wellbeing initiative Sustainable Source, want to gather people’s experiences to create an exhibition of what shielding has been like.

It does not matter if you are shielding because of underlying health reasons or to protect someone in your family; the organisation wants to hear from as many people as possible who have experienced shielding.

By collecting these experiences the organisation hopes to influence future social care and shielding services.

The charity will be hosting ‘friendly’ Zoom sessions where people shielding can work on projects together.

The project is asking people who are interested to join for a ‘virtual cup of tea and a chat’ next Wednesday, January 13.

If those shielding would prefer to send in photos, artwork or writing they are welcomed to do so.

The project aims to curate a gallery of work to share with health and social care decision makers.
