OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

REBECCA NUTTALL, 30, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing £239 of fragrances from Debenhams on September 7, £69.60 of personal grooming items from Esso on September 9 and lemon disinfectant spray worth £2.49 from Bargain Buys on October 5. All three offences took place in Banbury. She was jailed for eight weeks concurrent and must pay £30 in compensation.

KRZYSZTOF TELAK, 44, of Mold Crescent, Banbury, admitted drink driving, driving while disqualified and using a vehicle in a public place without third party insurance in Mold Crescent, Banbury, on August 1. He had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit. Telak was jailed for ten weeks and must pay a victim surcharge of £128. He was disqualified from driving for five years.

ABDUL BANARAS, 34, of Sandford Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man on November 4, 2019, in Oxford. He was made subject to a community order, to include six months of treatment for drug dependency. He must pay a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £85.

ROY WILLIS, 38, of Ivy Close, Didcot, admitted making a telephone call that was verbally abusive, using words that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character in Abingdon on October 2. He also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to two women in Harwell on October 6. He was fined £150 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £40.

MARGARET HUDSON, 79, of Knott Oaks, Combe, admitted drink driving in the Oxford Spires Business Park on April 1. She had 50mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the legal limit. Hudson was fined £150 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

LUKE GIBBS, 28, of Winbourne Way, Deddington, admitted attempted burglary with intent to steal in Little Bourton on August 11. He also admitted having cannabis in his possession in Homebase, Banbury, on August 11. Gibbs was made subject to a community order, to include 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85. The cannabis was forfeited and destroyed.

WILLIAM HARTLEY, 33, of Mallard Drive, Witney, was convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Witney on February 6. He was fined £440 and must pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £620.

DAVID LANGSBURY, 38, of Marston Street, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man and a woman by beating and stealing a bottle of Captain Morgan rum in Oxford on July 7. He was made subject to a community order, to include treatment for alcohol dependency under the direction of Turning Point for 12 months. Langsbury must also pay compensation of £50.

ANTHONY WEBBER, 40, of Buckler Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to two people in Banbury Road, Oxford, on September 8. He was fined £50 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34.

SAFRAZ ALI, 38, of East Field Close, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified and using a vehicle in a public place without third party insurance in Cowley Road, Oxford, on July 28. Ali was made subject to a community order, to include 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with seven penalty points.

VIVIEN FAWDRY, 29, of New Road, Woodstock, admitted assault by beating of three emergency workers in Blackstock Close, Oxford, on August 7. She was made subject to a community order, to include treatment for alcohol dependency under the direction of Turning Point for nine months and 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. Fawdry must also pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.

ALKETA TZOUMPI, 49, of Chatham Road, Oxford, was convicted of speeding on Abingdon Road on May 31, June 3 and June 9. She was travelling at 35mph in a 30mph zone. She was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £255. Her driving license was endorsed with nine penalty points.

ALI KHAN, 25, of Gibbs Crescent, Oxford, admitted drink driving on Mill Street, Oxford, on January 11. He had 50mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the legal limit. Khan was fined £150 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £100. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

LINDSEY CLAVIN, 49, of Moulsford Grange, Wallingford, was convicted of speeding in Hithercroft Road, Wallingford, on March 11. She was driving at 35mph in a 30mph zone. Clavin was fined £220 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £90. Her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

SINA ESKANDARI, 36, of David Walter Close, Oxford, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver in Banbury between July 1 and July 29. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

JAYNE EVANS, 54, of Church Close, Merton, admitted speeding on a road subject to a local traffic order on the A34 southbound at Wytham on March 17. She was travelling at 57mph in a 30mph zone. Evans was fined £68 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32. Her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

ELISE GOODSON, 27, of Lakeside, Witney, was convicted of speeding on Cowley Road, Oxford, on June 10. She was travelling at 39mph in a 30mph zone. Goodson was fined £68 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32. Her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

LEIGH GOODWIN, 55, of Cotman Close, Abingdon, admitted speeding on the A34, Chieveley, on March 14. He was travelling at 83mph in a 70mph zone. Goodwin was fined £68 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32. His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

BARRY GRANT, 63, of Midwinter Avenue, Milton, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver in Banbury between June 26 and July 24. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

CALVIN HOLMES, 36, of Sage Close, Banbury, was convicted of speeding on Cowley Road, Oxford, on March 8. He was travelling at 35mph in a 30mph zone. Holmes was fined £220 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
