SOARING temperatures have reached more than 30C in the county this weekend with residents basking in the heatwave hitting the UK.
In a sunny snap by an Oxford Mail photographer, 14-month-old Daria is pictured picking flowers in Witney.

It is expected to stay above 30C until Wednesday but the higher temperatures are set to lead to storms.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning across much of the UK, including Oxfordshire, for thunderstorms, saying some places are likely to see 'severe thunderstorms' in the early part of this week but there is 'significant uncertainty' about location and timing.

It comes into force at midnight and warnings cover the county until the end of Thursday.
