ANTONI Sarcevic spoke of his pride at signing for Bolton Wanderers yesterday as he officially penned a two-year deal with the club.

The former Plymouth and Fleetwood midfielder became Ian Evatt’s second new summer signing, joining striker Eoin Doyle.

Sarcevic helped Argyle to promotion with 10 goals last season, winning the player of the season award at Home Park.

And as he returned to his native North West with his young family he expressed how much Bolton’s interest had meant to him when he decided to become a free agent.

“I’m delighted and over the moon to sign for this football club,” he said.

“The club speaks for itself. As soon as Bolton Wanderers come knocking on the door it’s a massive plus.

“When I found out about the club’s interest it was a move I wanted to get done straight away.

“I’m a North West lad and I know all about the club. I’m proud to be associated with Bolton Wanderers and I can’t wait to get going.”

Evatt was also pleased to have signed the 28-year-old, who started his professional career at Manchester City.

“Antoni is an all-action midfielder who can score and assist and I am delighted that we have brought him on board,” he said.

“His record at this level is exceptional and his arrival is another statement signing for his club.”
