SOPHISTICATED burglars intercepted the signal from a car key to unlock a Mercedes.
It happened between midnight and 8.15am on Friday morning.
Thieves waited by the front door of Edward Road in Kennington, close to the car key, and then used a device and a laptop to hack the sensor and get into the car – key free.

They managed to make a getaway in the grey car but it was later found abandoned in Cow Lane by a member of the public.
Anybody with information should call police on 101, quoting the reference 43200208673.
Tips from police:
- Store keys away from doors and windows
- Use a radio frequency identification (RFiD) blocking pouch for keyless entry vehicles
- Use a steering lock
- Park to resist access to the car
- Remove all valuables
