There are snaps of smiles, hugs, and laughter for this week’s Camera Club competition, on the theme of ‘Friendship’.

Camera Club members sent in pictures of good times with friends and cuddles on the sofa with pets.

The pictures show that pets can be very loving and even our best friends.

Denise Gurden sent in a very cute snap of Elvis the dog looking after Bryan when he was feeling unwell.

And Maxine Grout took a snap of her mum stroking her best friend - also a dog.

Gordon Craig sent in a falconry centre snap of a man holding his bird of prey while he gave a demonstration.

Keeping to the animal friendship theme, Dorothy Beaumont sent in an adorable picture of two cats Ruby and Mila cuddling up.

Emma Avery also sent in a picture of two fluffy friends, dogs Sky and Betty Boo.

Roy Pyniger took a great snap of a mother swan looking after her baby cygnets on the river.

It has been hard to stay in contact with our close friends through lockdown, but Dan Thomas sent in a snap that pretty much sums it all up.

His picture shows neighbours gathered around outside their flats for a socially distanced chat.

Many Camera club snaps this week were dedicated to best friends. Becca Collacott sent in a picture her and friend Christine Crook, also a Camera Club member. The photo was taken by Anthony Morris.

Donna Cassettari sent in a picture of her group of friends of more than 40 years.

A sunny sunflower snap was taken by Frances Higham, the picture shows her daughter and her friends enjoying the summer.

Jane Halsall took a picture of her fish and chips that she enjoyed eating with her friends next to the river.

The winner from this week’s Oxford Mail Camera Club will be announced in tomorrow’s paper.

The theme for next week is ‘bright colours’.
