DR WHO actor Frazer Hines got the star treatment after he was injured in Oxfordshire in June 1970.
The TV star played Dr Who's assistant Jamie McCrimmon to the second-ever incarnation played by Patrick Troughton.
He was in Oxfordshire to play cricket at Blenheim Palace, watched adoringly by these and other young fans.
However during the match he got a bit too close to the action and was hit in the eye.
As a result, he had to get one of his fans to hold a compress in place for him as he signed autographs after the match.
