"It was important to the client that these new guardians were key workers such as health care professionals, teachers or science researchers.

"We canvassed local hospitals and spoke to young, healthcare professionals to find out what renting in Oxford is like and how we can help.

"On the first round of viewings we had a range of healthcare and education professionals. Of these attendees, 80 per cent wanted to take a room making it very clear that major cities like Oxford are crying out for guardianship solutions.

“The flexibility makes it perfect for short-term research contracts and the low price in such a central area helps to reduce the key workers’ commutes making it an appealing option for shift workers. Some of the first guardians to secure their place include a healthcare researcher in higher radiation protection, a postdoctoral research scientist and an education adviser.

"We invest a lot in the buildings we take on to make them safe, comfortable and desirable places for our guardians to live. In return our guardians take great care of the properties and create vibrant and diverse communities which contribute to the local area.”

Oxford Mail:

According to recent ONS findings, there are currently 650,000 empty properties across the UK that could be used for temporary residency for young professionals.

Lowe’s guardians are all vetted professionals including many key workers who often struggle to afford the high rents associated in prime locations.

When the landlord is ready to take the property back, Lowe provides its guardians with a 28-day notice period to vacate the property and then ensures that the building is handed back to the landlord in the same condition that it was given in.

Lowe houses over 700 guardians in sites throughout the South East.
