OXFORD East's Labour Party has backed Keir Starmer to become the next leader of the Labour Party.
A ballot was held by party members at Oxford Town Hall on Monday night, with Mr Starmer coming out of top with 51.4 per cent of the vote after the second round of voting.
Rebecca Long Bailey took 35.5 per cent, and Lisa Nandy 13.1 per cent.
Emily Thornberry was knocked out in the first round.
The local party also nominated Angela Rayner for deputy leader.
Oxford West Labour party is due to hold a similar vote on Thursday night
Mr Starmer and Ms Long Bailey have both visited Oxford on the campaign trail in recent weeks.
Deputy leadership candidate Richard Burgon is also due to visit on February 5 at the St Clements Family Centre.
