TRAFFIC was queuing for three miles on the M40 this afternoon due to emergency barrier repairs.
Two lanes were closed on the M40 northbound between Junction 8A at Milton Common and Junction 9 at Wendlebury.

It followed a crash this morning which caused damage to the central reservation.

Traffic officers were on the scene from 10.30am to repair the damage, according to Highways England.
As of 3pm, traffic was still tailing back for three miles between Oakley and Waterperry.
South Central Ambulance Service has not yet confirmed if anyone was injured in the collision.
There were also reports of a separate accident within the queues.
