POLICE have welcomed the conviction for a man found guilty of murder and said the killer can now expect a 'significant' prison sentence.
Thames Valley Police was reacting after Fatos Xheta was today found guilty of murdering his wife.
The 46-year-old of Lytton Road, Oxford, stabbed his wife Safie in the neck with a kitchen knife.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Dejan Avramovic, of the Major Crime Unit based at Taplow police station, said: "This was a deeply tragic and shocking incident, which occurred in Fatos and Safie Xheta's home, where Safie had the right to feel safe.
"I would like to extend my sympathy to those who knew and loved Safie Xheta.
"I am pleased that Fatos Xheta has been convicted, after the overwhelming evidence against him.
"Fatos Xheta is clearly a violent and dangerous man and he carried out this brutal attack which tragically resulted in Safie Xheta's death.
"He can now expect to receive a significant custodial sentence."
