PENSIONERS and school children joined forces to create mosaics based on the pupils' school motto ‘nurturing hearts and minds’.

Residents of Williams Place retirement living in Great Western Park, Didcot, teamed up with the year seven’s from the town's Aureus School to make three large mosaics, which have now gone on display outside the school.

Oxfordshire artist Clare Goodall, was on hand to help design and make mosaics that represent the school and its motto.

The artist said: “It was great to have the opportunity to work with the students at Aureus School and the residents at Williams Place.

Oxford Mail:

"It is always exciting to work on projects that bring the community together to build lasting relationships and I am thrilled with how the mosaics turned out.

"They look fantastic on the building and I hope they will help to build an even stronger sense of identity for the school.”
