ELDERLY residents have been treated to an extravagant Christmas party thanks to BT Warrington.
The company’s contact centre in Westbrook’s Gemini Retail Park invited Kershaw Day Centre users to a fun-filled festive event complete with activities, a Christmas meal and entertainment.
The day centre supports older people in Newton-le-Willows, the majority of whom have a dementia or age related illness.
Users are provided with services to enable them to remain within their own homes and communities and also make use of a variety of day trips, activities and facilities such as carers support.
Sonya Kelly, from BT Warrington, said: “As a company we are always looking to go beyond limits.
“We strive to be active role models in the community and the party we hosted is one of many initiatives we aim to do to benefit the lives of members of our community.
“I am extremely proud of everyone here in the BT Warrington Contact Centre for their contributions made in both time and money to make this day such an overwhelming success- from fun filled activities to the scrumptious Christmas dinner, ending with the delicious deserts.
“Seeing the smiles and hearing the thanks from our amazing guests is something that we will remember for a very long time.”
Thanking BT, Andrew Waugh, manager of Kershaw Day Centre, said: “The professionalism that you all have shown has impressed my entire team immensely and our service users and will be talked about for many days to come.”
