Oxford United will be making a difference to Christmas at the Oxford Children's Hospital by giving out gifts on the ward.

The Oxford United first team squad will be making their festive visit to the Oxford children's Hospital.

The players and management will be bringing gifts to the children on the ward, but to make it possible they are calling on the help of their fans.

The football team are asking for donations so they can give presents to the children and make a difference to their big day.

Business development manager Peter Rhoades-Brown is asking fans to contribute to the good cause and said: "We always look forward to seeing everyone at the Children’s Hospital. It is such a fantastic facility for Oxford and for Oxfordshire and we are very lucky to have it on our doorstep. The kids on the wards love to meet the players, and every year the first team squad put in to a kitty to buy a few presents for those children."

Oxford United are asking for toys, games, colouring pencils and anything you can spare to put a smile on the children's faces. The team also ask for the presents not to be wrapped so they can go to the right people.

Mr Rhoades-Brown said: “The fans have really got behind this over the last few years and we would love your support once again.”
