As ever, The Insider takes a wry look at the goings on in the corridors of power.
TORIES from Oxfordshire raced up to Manchester to bask in the Brexit uncertainty their party caused.
Sadly, many of their older members – who were probably opposed to the very principle of the EU when Sir Winston Churchill called for a United States of Europe in 1946 – were unable to stay awake during the speeches.
Let’s face it, the speeches must have been turgid at best.
Unfortunately, two Oxfordshire delegates were amongst those snapped not looking like they were especially engaged with what was going on.
Simon Clarke, county councillor for Didcot East and Hagbourne, and Charlotte Dickson, a former Vale district councillor, were spotted.
If they weren’t sleeping (Dr Clarke is above, second row) then they looked a bit bored.
