A GRADE II listed village coaching inn has bagged the title as best historic property in the country.
The White Hart House in Burford has been crowned the top historic house to spend a holiday as it sits nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Holiday home owner Drew Price took home the trophy from the Sykes Gem Awards, run by UK holiday rental firm Sykes Holiday Cottages and sister company Manor Cottages, as winners were announced this month.

Mr Price said: “I’ve put so much into making White Hart House a success, and constantly get great feedback from guests, but an award like this really does mean a lot.
"The trophy will definitely be given pride of place in the cottage.
"The property really allows guests to step back in time. As well as offering period features, such as the flagstone floors, exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace, it overlooks a centuries-old village church - providing a real escape from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life.
"I’ve totally fallen in love with Burford’s quintessential English charm – so much so that I’ve now relocated here from Hertfordshire."
Mr Price originally bought the White Hart House as a weekend bolthole but soon realised its potential as a coaching inn and opened it up to holidaymakers in 2011.
