AN AIR ambulance was deployed to rush to the aid of a cyclist in a serious condition in Grove.

Paramedics rushed to the scene in Brereton Drive yesterday after being called at 9.43am to reports of the female cyclist having come off her bike.

The ambulance service did not confirm how this happened.

Residents were diverted away from the area as police closed off the road.

The patient was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital with life-threatening injuries according to South Central Ambulance Service.
