THE deputy police and crime commissioner of the Thames Valley, Matthew Barber, will speak to county councillors next week about the police's performance.

Mr Barber, who is also a Vale of White Horse district councillor, will appear before the county council's performance scrutiny committee next Thursday from 10am.

John Campbell, Thames Valley Police's new chief constable, will also attend the meeting. He will present his force's Delivery Plan for 2019-20.

Mr Barber, who is a previous Vale Council leader, will give an update on progress against the Police and Crime Plan 2017-2021.
