FOOTAGE has been released of the moment former Oxford player Dean Saunders was pulled over by police on suspicion of drink driving.

The clip was released by the Crown Prosecution Service after the 55-year-old was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail.

Saunders, of The Paddocks, Whitegate, near Northwich, was stopped on by police on the A51 in Boughton on Friday, May 10.

The footage shows Saunders - who played 59 times for Oxford, scoring 22 goals - being ordered to get out of his Audi A8 by an officer who tells him his driving is "atrocious".

Saunders pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a roadside breath test and failing to provide a breath sample for analysis earlier this week.
